Shady Fakhry

I’m a filmmaker, director, and cinematographer with a background in commercial production and visual storytelling. My approach is rooted in traditional filmmaking — concept development, directing, cinematography, lighting, composition, camera language, and post-production — while increasingly integrating generative AI into the production process. I use AI as an extension of filmmaking rather than a replacement for it: a way to visualize ambitious ideas, build worlds, explore new forms of production, and create cinematic work that would traditionally require much larger resources. What interests me most is the intersection between strong creative concepts and emerging technology — using new tools while keeping storytelling, performance, visual intention, and cinematic craft at the center of the work.
