1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how GenHQ Ventures Limited ("GenHQ", "we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on https://www.genhq.io and related subdomains.
Read this alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Optional cookie choices are made through our cookie controls; browsing the Site does not by itself give consent.

GenHQ Ventures Limited is registered in England and Wales under company number 17345720. Our registered office is at 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, England, W1W 5PF.
We are responsible for personal data processed through cookies we use. Third-party providers may also be responsible for their own processing, as explained in their privacy notices.

3. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They help websites maintain sessions, protect accounts and remember choices. Session cookies expire when the browser session ends; persistent cookies remain until they expire or are deleted.
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and tags. Local storage can remain until cleared; session storage normally ends when you close the tab. This policy covers these technologies as well as cookies.
4. When we use consent
The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) govern storing or accessing information on your device. Strictly necessary technologies used to provide a service you request can be used without cookie consent. This exception is separate from the lawful basis required under data protection law when personal data is processed.
We ask for consent for optional analytics, advertising and personalisation cookies. Legitimate interests alone do not replace cookie consent where PECR requires it. The UK GDPR and, where applicable, EU GDPR also apply to personal data; our Privacy Policy explains our processing and your rights.
5. Your cookie choices
On public pages, the cookie banner offers Accept All, Necessary Only and Preferences. Preferences lets you choose Analytics, Advertising and Personalisation separately, then Save Choices. Optional categories start switched off.
Use Cookie Settings in the public footer at any time to change your choices or withdraw consent by selecting Necessary Only. You can do this while signed in by visiting a public page. We remember your selection for 183 days on that browser. Different browsers or devices may need separate choices.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. You can also remove previously stored cookies and site data using your browser settings.

These technologies support account sessions, security and features you request. They are not switched off by Necessary Only. Blocking them in your browser may stop sign-in or other requested features from working.

7. Analytics and other optional categories
Analytics helps us understand use of the marketplace and measure how people reach it. We use Google Tag Manager to manage configured tags. Tag Manager is a container; the tags it loads determine which cookies are used. Google Analytics cookies, where enabled, require your Analytics choice.

Advertising controls permission for advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation. Personalisation controls permission for optional functionality and personalised experiences. Allowing a category only permits services configured to use it; it does not mean every such service is active.
We will update this policy when we introduce new optional cookies or purposes and request fresh consent where required.
8. Third-party services
Stripe provides checkout, identity verification and payout services. When you use those services, Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies for security, fraud prevention and the service you request. Its cookies can include __stripe_mid (typically 1 year), __stripe_sid (typically 30 minutes) and m (typically 2 years); availability depends on the Stripe service and your browser.

Deleting our preference cookie will cause the banner to ask for your choices again. Blocking necessary cookies can prevent login, verification and payment features from working.
Where applicable, data protection law gives you rights to access, correct, erase or receive your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent. Our Privacy Policy explains these rights and how to exercise them.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or, where applicable, your local EEA supervisory authority.
